Asian markets dip

(CNN) -- Asian and Pacific stock markets dropped in early trading Thursday as the U.S. Senate approved a $700 billion bailout package for Wall Street.

Japan's Nikkei Exchange was down 131 points at 11,237.26, and the Korea Exchange was down slightly at 2,968.59.

The Australian Securities Exchange was down slightly at 4,782.8, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down .81 percent at 17,870.43.
